HootSuite Partners with Tapstream to Help App Publishers Measure Results of Social Marketing

Vancouver startup Tapstream has partnered with HootSuite to enable a social media dashboard for app publisher.

The Canadian company aims to answer the question that plagues mobile marketers: “Where are our users coming from?”

Social media marketing is becoming increasingly popular. But a disconnect between web and app ecosystems means that app publishers lack the data they need to make informed marketing decisions.

Tapstream aims to solve this disconnect through a partnership with HootSuite to enable metrics-based social marketing for app publishers. App publishers can now use Tapstream’s Taps.io URL shortener in their HootSuite account. It lets app publishers measure the lifetime value of socially acquired app users at both a high level, per social channel, and at a low level, per post or tweet.

“This means that every shared link will track app installs, helping app publishers understand what drives activations and engagement points like in-app purchases,” explains Tapstream CEO Slaven Radic.

The in-dashboard Tapstream functionality is currently available to HootSuite Enterprise customers.
