The EastLink organization is a group of Maritime owned and operated companies providing a range of communication services to business and residential customers across the Maritimes. Our primary business is the continuous development and maintenance of a broadband network or "link" which connects our customers with the world via cable television, internet and related services. Companies operating under the EastLink brand name employ approximately 300 people throughout the group's different operations including full time, part time and contracted personnel. EastLink is privately owned and operated with its head office in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Bragg family based in Oxford Nova Scotia are the majority shareholders in all companies operating under the EastLink name. The Bragg family has interests in a variety of Maritime companies in a range of industries including agri-products, real estate and forestry as well as communications. Within the EastLink group, EastLink Cable Systems provides cable television service throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. EastLink is the 6th largest cable provider in Canada. EastLink High Speed Internet provides internet connection services in select markets to individual and corporate customers through cable modem technology. Cable modem technology provides exceptional reliability and increased download speeds. We are the first cable company in Canada to offer local telephone service through its fibre optic cable network in Metro Halifax, Bridgewater and Charlottetown. This service is currently available to residential and business customers. EastLink Advertising delivers low cost, high frequency broadcast advertising to targeted local, regional and national markets with professional audio and high-impact graphics EastLink Community Television operates a network of community television channels within the markets served by EastLink Cable Systems. Members and groups from local communities have free access to their local channel to further worthy local causes and concerns. The community channels are largely supported by the efforts of volunteers interested in the development and enrichment of their communities. EastLink is proud to be a part of this worthwhile endeavor.
